The day before yesterday driving from Washington to Pittsburgh we stopped at a parkingspot near Wallmart. It reminded me of an nasty dream the night before. Where everything you' want to eat would have loads of meat, or be greasy and fat. And all that food was transported in not-that-eco-friendly big trucks, to shops and coffee corners. Everything double wrapped in lot of plastic, stored in open freezers in airco-shopping centers to take home in big airco-cars to airco-houses or offices. And then... After eating... Leave you with whole lot of plastic packaging paper and plastic bags, in plastic wrapped forks and knives to.... Just throw in one bin. Not to recycle.
' sorry that in the days 've been here... No one woke me up yet...
And then yesterday, driving from Pittsburgh to Columbus Ohio, the vastness of the area was absolutely fabulous. And the Amish, we saw, reminded us that there is another way to co-operate with our planet in whole different way. What contrast! Driving (!) through the beautiful american countryside it was so good to see this part of the USA. Makes you wonder what makes most people want to only visit the cities of this big country....
